Our firm is led by Ralph Triebel and Oliver Damm.
Ralph is the Managing Director of LHA and has been a business consultant
for over 25 years. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering as well as an MBL
(both cum laude).
He has conducted and supervised more than 250 major consulting assignments
for large manufacturing corporates, local and international banks and insurance
groups, R&D institutions, international donor agencies, universities and industry associations, and government both in South Africa and Africa.
He has also been an External Examiner at the University of South Africa's School
of Business Leadership (SBL) for the MBL program over a period of ten years in
the field of strategic management and organisational entrepreneurship.
Oliver is a Director of LHA and in this capacity he has consulted and worked
with numerous JSE listed companies, private firms, industry associations,
state owned enterprises, government, and science councils.
Oliver has conducted research, strategy and consulting assignments in a wide
range of sectors including automotive components, timber products, research and development, environmental services, metals manufacturing, natural fibres and biocomposites, and stainless steel. He has also led the development of strategies and business plans for a number of national industry development and support initiatives, and has subsequently been involved in the successful implementation
of these. He currently serves as Commercial Director of the Titanium Centre of Competence, an initiative led by the DST to establish a titanium metals industry
in South Africa.
Oliver is regularly involved in international conferences as an organiser, speaker, and invited session chairman.
Oliver holds a PhD in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Wits University and a Masters Degree in Engineering Management (MEM) from the University of Pretoria (cum laude). He has served as project reviewer and on advisory committees for the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA) and the National Research Foundation (NRF).
